Who am I?
My name is Kenny Barto, and I am a freelance photographer and journalist from Connecticut.

Where Did I Start?
I found my niche in photography in 2007 when I bought my first DSLR camera. It was a Nikon D50, and was the perfect camera to learn the basic photography settings and techniques. I was always a big baseball fan, so I would go to minor league baseball games and take photos to practice. I also starting taking pictures for my high school sports teams which were used on their website and in their yearbook.

Where Am I Now?
I just finished my freshman year of college. I attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology, and served as a student photographer. I will be transferring back to the state of Connecticut to pursue better academic opportunities, as well as a career in photography as well as information technology.

Who Do I Work For?
I mostly work for myself, and the people that utilize my skills. My specialty is sports and action photography, where I have had photos published by many reputable websites such as PinstripesPlus.com, TwinCitiesDugout.com, and PCToday (Penn College's Online Newspaper). Visit the photography page to view some of my work.

What Equipment do I use?
As I said above, I started off with a Nikon D50 in 2007. In the summer of 2008 I upgraded to a Nikon D200, and a Sigma 70-200mm F/2.8 lens. Being a college student, it's tough to own a lot of equipment...So I use Lens Pro To Go to rent equipment when I need it.
